Mascot for the 3rd Asian Beach Games

In the Beach volleyball game, our attention was caught not only by the hoboured  athletes, but also by the splendid mascots.The presence of these mascot make the game more active and bring people a lot of fun.

On December 14th,2009,the committe strated the activity to select the mascot for the 3rd Asian Beach Games world wide, the open ceremony was hold in CNCC on November 3th 2010,The three selected mascot was announced as‘Haihai'‘Yangyang'‘Shasha'.


Based on its oringinal model the drangon, the sun and the phoenix,‘Haihai'‘Yangyang'‘Shasha’was dividually inpresent of the sea water, sunshine, and the beach, together they are a symble of a whole family, they are friendly and happy, just like the whole Asia people. It also reflect an active friendly and happy sports spitit.

According to proffessor Qianzhe,team leader of mascot creation group,the concept of 'Haihai' was oringinated from an old chinese idiom‘Dragon and Phoenix Bringing Auspiciousnes’mascot costume 'haiahi' takes the shape of dragon as the body part and sea blue as the colour, it reflct the close relations of the dragon and th sea as well as the regional characterastic of the sealand.Theory of the mascot cloth comes from the sea Yangko 'happy Dafu', it symbles the special folk culture as well as people's optimistic attitude towards life.

'Yangyang'is lovely and smart,like a little sun he warm the whole family.The main color of this mascot is golden red like the color of the rising sun, which  closely connected with the concept of The Asia Games.

The concept of 'Shasha' coms from the legend of the sea phoenix beach, the whole shape is like a phoenix with the sea beach yellow as the main color which successfully tell the story of the phoenix beach and with an ehthusiastic, fashion appearence, the mascots completely displays the spirit of The Asia Game:Sea charming, Sunny, Passion, Fashion.
